Week 7: Challenges to SDG

 Challenges to SDG

On 22 April, I explored the complex obstacles to achieving sustainable development, including its social, economic, and environmental dimensions.

Social issues encompass unequal access to essentials like education, healthcare, nutritious food, and clean water, along with deep-rooted disparities tied to socio-economic status, culture, and policy. Economically, problems such as volatility, governance failures, and poor financial oversight are pressing, while adopting sustainable strategies like recycling, waste minimization, and dematerialization is crucial for transitioning to a circular economy. On the environmental front, key concerns include global warming, the depletion of natural resources, and unsustainable consumption habits, all pointing to the need for harmony between human development and ecological sustainability.
