The content that i have learned is that universities have a vital role in promoting sustainable development by adopting a holistic educational approach, inspired by Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, which nurtures students' spiritual, intellectual, and moral growth to develop a sense of responsibility and stewardship (khalifah). It stresses the importance of integrating traditional Islamic teachings with contemporary science to tackle sustainability challenges ethically and through mutual cooperation (ta'awun). The material also reflects on how the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a shift toward values-based education, focusing on humanity, intellect, empathy, and meaningful interaction (4H), highlighting the importance of humility, innovation, and fairness. Ultimately, it emphasizes that universities are responsible for producing ethical, well-rounded graduates capable of leading sustainable solutions through collaboration and practical action.

In my understanding, it is closely aligns with the mission, vision, and core values of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). IIUM’s commitment to integrating Islamic principles with contemporary education mirrors Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas’s comprehensive educational philosophy, which emphasizes spiritual, intellectual, and moral growth. Additionally, the university’s goal of nurturing responsible individuals who act as khalifah and promote sustainable development reflects the presentation’s focus on ethical leadership and stewardship.
