Week 5: Sejahtera as Local Concept of SDG

Sejahtera as Local Concept of SDG

This week (8 April) i have learn about Sejahtera as a culturally rooted framework for sustainable development that focuses on comprehensive well-being—covering aspects like peace, prosperity, health, and social harmony. It defines Sejahtera as a condition marked by safety, success, and the absence of disruption, reflecting the ideals of a balanced and cohesive society. The concept also integrates spiritual and moral values based on Islamic teachings, including faith (iman), worship (ibadah), righteous actions (amal soleh), ethics (akhlak), and piety (takwa), all of which are viewed as essential for attaining true well-being in both worldly life and the hereafter.

Prof Suhaimi also have asked about our project where project is "Gotong-royong at Aikol regularly" where aligned with this week topic about localizing SDG.
